Amazing- Just went back to play some cha ...

The game is absolutely gorgeous. I mean sure the textures are now outdated, however they are still mind boggling. The game looks terrific and so many enemies on screen, too! This is the standard to be for realistic looking games, while Super Mario Galaxy is the standard to beat for cartoon/cel-shaded games. I still can't believe this was a 2005 game. In my opinion, The Conduit doesn't look as good as RE4 so far. Although Metroid Prime 3 looks gorgeous as well. What do you guys think?Amazing- Just went back to play some cha ...

What do you guys think?[/QUOTE]well i think the main charicter moddles are great even by todays standerds. i mean leon looks as good as most charicters do in ps3 and 360 games. minus the lower textures and it not being HD. i compaired the other night between leon and snake in MGS4 and IMHO as far as how real the charicter moddle looked there was not a HUGE deffernce. just the textures ect are out dated. The enviroment is another story. even in its hay day i always thought RE4 realy needed a little better textures and alot better AA in the enviroment. its just to grainy and jaggie. looks better now that i have a HDtv and can play in 480P but still. its like thay used all the hardwear resources for the charicter moddles and had to realy scrap by for the enviroment. the deffernce between RE4's enviroment and say MP3 is very easy to see. Hower ever saying that the conduit does not look as good is a bit of a streach imho. the enviroment is a little plain from pics iv seen but remember thay plenty of time to add object for eye candy. the textures ect look alot better.No dout about it though RE4 was one of the VERY best looking games on any last gen CONSOLE system. And IMHO THE best GC game period by a large margin.i just wish capcom would give us a new re game just like re4 but with enhanced graphics, just better textures and anti ailising and have the story pick up like a short time after re4 and have it star leon ect. Wii owners very own AAA RE game. i am lucky enough to also own a ps3 but still. a REwii AAA game with new Wii controles would ROCK.
Yeah, I remember going back and playing the Cube version, and the graphics were awesome.
RE4:Wii Edition will be the next Wii game I buy.
While I am not a huge fan of the RE series and franchise, I must admit it does do very well on the visual aspects of it's games.
