Wii Sports: Resort

Anyone really exited for this game. I'm usually not big with the wiis array of dumb sport games and mini-game games. But I like Wii Sports alot so im happy to see a new Wii Sports coming out. How about you guys.Wii Sports: Resort
I think it will be really good.Wii Sports: Resort
I'm not really that excited, although I want to use the new peripheral. Considering they are bundling it with Wii Motion Plus, the game will probably be really shallow like Wii Play. They could have shown any game included and they decided to show a game where you throw a frisbee to a dog and wait for them to catch it. That probably means all the included games will be short minigames.
Looks fun to me.
I'm interested in the sword fighting
I'm getting too. The Wii Motion Plus looks interesting.
It will probably be like Wii Sports, there will be several game, but only a select amount will be worth repeated plays. Tennis, Bowling, and Boxing got a ton of play from my Wii, and most likely Wii Sports Resort will most likely feature a line up similar. The Wave Race one looks fun, possibly multiplayer for it can make it a worthy Wave Race successor, and sword fighting looks damn fun. There was talk of around 10 games for the title, which should offere a healthy selection for anyone.
I'm interested in the sword fighting
Yeah me to.
Im exiced for the Motion+ and sword fighting...i have no real intrest in this game though. I just hope they make more games that come with the Wii Motion+ because i have 4 wiimotes and id apericate it if i could get another game with each motion+
I pretty sure its not gonna have online.
I'm interested, but that depends on the price. If Nintendo's asking a full $50, then forget it. But $35 or $40, yeah.
I'm getting it simply for the WiiMotion Plus add-on and new jacket that it'll come bundled with.

They try and bring more people into gaming, which is a good thing, and you complain that they don't bring any ''hardcore'' games out anymore. First off, the whole notion of ''casual'' vs ''hardcore'' is just ridiculous. I probably wouldn't be considered ''hardcore'' because I do not play games 24/7 (yes, I'm being sarcastic on how much you need to play to be hardcore).I mean, give Nintendo some slack. They do more than the other two companies. Instead of just bringing out a new system with more power, they decide to bring a system out with a new way to control the game. And now with MotionPlus, it seems like more of the ideas developers probably had have a better chance of coming out and working better. But hey, that is just my opinion and you are entitled to your opinion. I don't wanna start an argument so we could just leave it at that (or you could reply to me by PM if you want to discuss it further). So to stay on topic, I am actually really looking forward to Wii Sports Resort because I want to finally see these ideas realized that were first thought up when the Wii was announced. Think about how much better Red Steel could have been if this was originally part of the Wii Remote.-Shark2k
It sounds like it would be fun for casual gaming.
I never got into WiiSports and never knew why everyone loved it. Although i'll admit, you could catch me playing Bowling every now and then. I might get Resort for the Motion thingy IF it is a needed accessory. Which im pretty sure it's not.

Im definatly excited for this game. I bet another minigame will be volleyball because volleyball is a big beach game.
It's got me intrested. I'll buy it. Even if it get's bad revews. Heck, wiisports averaged a 7 for reviews.

Everyone has their own idea of what the terms mean. I see a hardcore gamer as someone like us that is passionate about gaming, buys a decent amount of games, someone who is a veteran gamer. A casual gamer to me is someone that doesn't have gaming very high on their list of hobbies. They don't buy many games and like to play simple games like Wii Sports. These people may be new to gaming but they don't have to be.I applaud Nintendo for trying to bring in new gamers. But their philosophy so far was to make both simple games and games that would satisfy those who've been with them since the 80's and 90's. If this E3 is any indication, they are now moving more in the direction of mostly casual, more simple games. Games which are easier and cheaper to make. It's a bit of a slap in the face to all of us loyal fans if they are indeed moving in this direction. We were the ones that stood by them while they got their asses handed to them by Sony and Microsoft last gen. These ''casual'' gamers either were either not interested in gaming or owned PS2's. I just don't understand why Nintendo can't keep the hardcore to casual ratio 1-1. I was extremely happy with their offerings since launch. It's only their upcoming schedule which I am dissapointed about about
