How would you make the controls for a ne ...

So how would you format the controls IF Nintendo released a new Starfox on the Wii. i'd make it so the player would use the nunchuk to steer the ArWing and using the B button to shoot a normal blast. Then i'd make the A button the bomb. In order to Barrel Roll id have the player twist the Wii Mote in a rolling motion and like wise with the loops except instead of a twist id make it a O motion. there are the basics. How would you do it??? How would you make the controls for a ne ...
Point Wii mote at screen
Move the Wii remote closer to screen boost
Move away from the Tv is Brakes
A Shoot
B Smart Bombs
Shake the Wii mote left and right Barrel roll
shake the remote up and down for the loop de loop
Tilt left for the Arwing to turn left faster
tilt right for the Arwing to turn right fasterHow would you make the controls for a ne ...
uuh... id have it be the same as in the wario ware minigame, holding the wii remote sideways and whatnot
Analog Stick - Move
Wiimote Pointer - Aim
A Button - Shoot
B Button - Smart Bomb
Z Button - Boost
Simple, yet efficient.
easy. make it like snes where you had segments in either a 3rd person view or a 1st person cockpit view. Use the analog stick in 3rd person and the pointer in 1st person. then add gesture based controls for maneuvers like barrel rolls. But this is assuming we get an on rails shooter. please no ground combat or open environments like in assault.
Well, for me, starfox would be three things:
- In Air
- On Foot
- Vehicles

In Air:
Nunchuck for movement, IR for shooting things.
On Foot:
Third person view, IR part of the controller to aim and B button to shoot.
In Vehicle:
Nunchuck for movement, IR for aiming.

Why not use the wiimote as like the sticks in the jet fighters, it make sense sort of. Then if they branched to on foot and tank missions have another scheme. Personally i think itd be cool especially if it used motion plus to fly around in a jet.
Only use the Wiimote. Have the aiming reticule on screen be IR and when you move to aim the ship moves with it. Just like Star Fox 64 but without the analog stick.

I guess its the same concept as to why I didn't like the virtual analog touch control of games like mario 64 DS and rayman DS.

This

But it needs barrel rolls, I guess that would be C

And it would use the D pad for loops and such.

Wiimote only with M+. Hold the wiimote upwards like a flight stick rested on your lap. B shoots, A fires bombs, Up boosts, Down breaks, Left and Right barrel roll.
What i would is hold the Wii mote like you do on Mario cart Wii but just normally control it, but for a barrel role you would twist it to the side you want to role. But you would twist up to do a flip, and you would push forward for boost and pule back for brake. For battle 2 would be shout and A would be bombs.

What I Want:

Well, I'd like it to be kind of similar to SW: Battlefront but with significant StarFox-based changes. One including picking up weapons from wherever you can find them (instead of being stuck with one weapon all the time) while in hand to hand combat.

Actual Controls: Nunchuk's Anolog Stick - Run around/move ship

A button - Talk/action command

B button - Shoot/swing staff, sword, etc.

Nunchuk's Z button - Jump/barrel roll

Nunchuk's C button: Brakes

Pointing at screen with remote - Aim

Shaking with remote - Flip ship

1 button - Map

2 button - Get help from Slippy, Peppy, etc.

- button - Items

+ button - Start Menu

+ Control Pad - Look around

You hold the Wiimote vertically and tilt it like a joystick to control the ship. The game would be like Ace Combat (First Person view).

Didnt know what to use C for though.,
assuming nunchuck is attached. have a look at a game called freelancer. its controlled almost entirely with the mouse and works very well. so assuming the next starfox isnt going to try and be like freelancer in terms of having trading and cargo and all that and its going to be combat focused but with a free roaming system.point at screen to change ure direction. use the Z and C buttons to change speed. B to shoot lasers. A to acquire lock on and fire missiles/bombs. certain motions like flicking the wiimote up to do a 180 quickly and twisting it to ''DO A BARREL ROLE!'' (sorry :P).
