http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25710005/'I think that there's probably one other element to it, and that's that our view of how we use E3 has changed. For a very long time, E3 was an event where %26mdash; and certainly Nintendo included %26mdash; catered specifically to the core gamer. Now we look at more %26hellip; an opportunity for us to introduce new concepts and new types of play that we intend to bring to the broader audience, particularly because of the media that gathers at E3 now.
So while attending an E3 event like this, they might be given the impression that Nintendo is no longer focusing on the games that appeal to the core gamer, in fact we're still working on many of those titles, but it's just not the type of event where we'll be showcasing that anymore.'Miyamoto talks about the E3
you wanna tell us where then Miyamaoto?Miyamoto talks about the E3
Ya that's a sad true that we fans must accept, E3 ain't is wat it used to be
Then people shouldn't be freaking out that nintendo is going all casual, it's just e3 that is(for nintendo)
Indeed where is the core event then?
Indeed where is the core event then?
Exactly. I would love to find the event that is for core gamers and what not. We could call it ''Core Fest'' or something like that. That would be awesome.
When is TGS coming? Thats probably when the core games are coming.

Pretty much confirms what I thought. Core Fest will be TGS(if they go, I dunno) or Fall Conference like last year.

I'm sure they will do it again.
It makes sense. Since E3 is casual, I guess we can hope for the core franchises at a different conference.
This should be bumped before we get more omg nintendo's turned their back on us comments. After the conference I hoped that Nintendo was just taking a new approach to the E3 conference, and not going balls out casual in video game philosophy. Miyamoto saying this sure cleared the air IMO.But now where do we, the core gamer, get our event where we see what we want? The only two big events left are leipzeg and TGS, which Ninty almost never attends(excepts with the revealing of the wiimote). Maybe Nintendo thinks the core gamer does research, and therefore does not need a large conference for a game to be revealed, because we already know where we can find those videos and picures, and gameplay info, but since the casual gamer does not do research, then they need a big conference to show off their casual stuff. Does anybody think we will get some kind of demo at E 4 All?(IE: Conduit, Madworld, or some other 09 release) Because they did it with brawl.
And that's why they have E 4 All.
Nintendo usually doesn't attend TGS, if anything E4all might have something, i no last year Nintendo held the event.
The fact that he's being interviewed by MSNBC tells you how much of a joke E3 is.BTW: 5 to 10 years for another console? NO.
That makes sense. They pick the highest profile event of the year to introduce their new conepts and games cause they now that it will get the most press their. Nintendo is afterall a business.
bump. this is important news here
The fact that he's being interviewed by MSNBC tells you how much of a joke E3 is.BTW: 5 to 10 years for another console? NO.
That's much better than having to buy new hardware every 5 years. We save money that way.
Nintendo is smart on their part and I know Nintendo haven't forgot about us core gamers and right now they are making a marketing plan to better their company. I am pretty much sure if majority of us had our own company in gaming we would do whatever it takes to give us the advantage in the gaming market. Yes they take fans under consideration but some decisions that the company has to make to better than rather the fans like it or not. Its about money in this business and another thing eventually those casual gamers will become hardcore gamers but its only a matter of time. Remember guys we had our chance as hardcore gamers for years so let the casuals get their chance for a bit it wont be long before our hardcore games will come into rotation again. One more thing I must say we arent the mind of Nintendo so we don't know whats all behind this so just stay calm and be patient.
