Just stuff like Zelda, Starfox, F-Zero that sort of stuff will be announced somewhere more about the games less about satisfying the media.

Man, so much good stuff in that inerview. That's to be treasured in my bookmarks :) I still think that the other 2 companies must not take Nintendo likely as it will swipe them out off their feet. Nintendo is on something big and it will soon be unstoppable. I think we (core gamer, note I didn't say hardcore) will be please with the future of the Wii lineup.
Miyamoto thinks that E3 is for casual that is why Nintendo is not going to announce any hardcore games at E3!!
People need to realize that E3 is a shell of its former self due to the changes the organizers made after the 2006 event. Some of the developers (Blizzard-Activision, Lucas Arts, etc.) did not appear in this year's event, and there are uncertainties whether there will be another E3 in 2009. Nintendo did not have to make all its announcements at E3, as other have mentioned before me, because there are other gaming conventions coming this year. What about the Tokyo Game Show in September? What about Nintendo's press conferences that can occur any day?
I highly doubt that Zelda will be anywhere near close to be able to show off. If they are still trying to find ideas on what to do with the game, it's far from complete. I would think we see something on Zelda like maybe late next year. Same goes for Mario, I mean they JUST finished Galaxy, i doubt they had anytime to do anything major to it yet to be able to show it off. Other games yeah maybe, but I dont count on seeing Zelda or Mario anytime soon, which I dont really care because it's not all about those characters.

Nintendo usually isn't at TGS anyway, but if I remember correctly they had their own event 2 years ago I believe.
